Smith, William

William Smith was born in Georgia on March 16, 1765, and died there on July 16, 1841.  He was in the Georgia Militia.  He was married to Mary Townsend Platt and Bineta Stephens.  He received a land grant of 287 1/2 acres of land for his service.  His grave was marked by DAR in 1950.
