To honor and pay tribute
to our veterans who have sacrificed so much to defend our freedoms, The
Crab-Orchard Chapter sponsors the following activities and projects:

USO Show, a “1940s” variety show featuring talented community volunteers who portray musicians, singers, and popular personalities of the era. Proceeds go toward the Chapter’s commitment to the Veterans’ Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and to other projects that benefit our veterans. |

Cumberland County Veterans' History Project, designed to collect the personal military stories of our local veterans and to compile those stories into a manuscript to be donated to the Library of Congress, the Cumberland County Archives, and the local Art Circle Library. |

National Defense Dinner to which selected veterans are invited; for example, in 2005 the dinner honored the World War II women veterans in the county; in 2006 the leaders of the various veterans’ organizations in the county were honored. |
