Manchester Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution * Background Information

The Manchester Chapter NSDAR was organized and approved by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution on February 7, 1998. 

The thirteen original charter members were Elizabeth Jarrell Aaron, Tammy Theresa Randall Adams, Deidra Renee Duncan, Irene Jarrell Freeze, Pamela Diana Wilkinson Helland, Penelope Jenkins Hicks, Linda Sue Jackson, Florentine Holmes Phillips, JoAllen Rogers Phillips, Mary Juanita Woosley Preston, Judy Permelia Ann Carr Randall, Jammie Brothers Walker, and Joyce Dean Woosley Wilkinson.

The first officers were:

The objectives of the Manchester Chapter NSDAR are:
bullet

To perpetuate the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American Independence.

bullet

To promote the development of an enlightened public opinion.

bullet

To foster patriotic citizenship.

The Manchester Chapter is active in all national programs. The chapter maintains standing committees for all NSDAR programs.

Throughout the history of the Manchester Chapter, a strong and continuing tradition of active service and participation in all aspects of the National Society's programs has been established by the past and present Regents and all of the members of the Manchester Chapter.

The current membership of the Manchester Chapter is approximately 29 members.
