Welcome to the River City Chapter NSDAR. We are honored that you are interested in the DAR, and the River City Chapter in particular.
We are a non-profit, non-political, volunteer service organization. Membership in the DAR provides many opportunities to cherish our American heritage of freedom, to preserve family and local histories, to promote the celebration of our national holidays, to live
patriotically, to support our national defense, to enjoy our beautiful member-owned buildings in Washington, D.C., and to form friendships with others who share our love of God, Home, and Country.
We welcome you to visit us at one of our meetings, every second Saturday during the months of October through May.
Some of our activities include:

Flying the Flag of the United States of America on all legal holidays, on birthdays of states, and birthdays of notable patriotic persons. The flag may be flown at all times, weather permitting, day and night, if properly illuminated after dark.

Giving to conserve our natural resources - plant a tree; feed the birds; and save medicine bottles and contribute to third-world medical services.

Giving to DAR Schools - save labels from Campbell's products and used print cartridges for education.

Supporting our veterans - save canceled postage stamps for patients in VA hospitals.
