About Our Chapter
Our chapter continues today to promote the goals established for all NSDAR chapters through historical, educational, or patriotic programs at its monthly meetings. In addition, it recognizes outstanding students and teachers of American History, contributes to NSDAR sponsored schools; sponsors contests in schools which foster patriotism and appreciation for what previous generations have achieved; holds memorial services and places markers at the gravesite of our deceased members; plus participates in other national and state initiated projects.
Our members are involved in their churches, community activities and organizations, preservation of historical sites, and in various other local and state historical organizations.

As stated above, Lenoir City is located on the Tennessee River and is home to two TVA dams, Ft. Loudon Dam and Tellico Dam. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is 53 miles to the southeast and some of the mountain ranges can be seen in the distance. We are located in one of the most beautiful areas of East Tennessee, home to the best of boating and fishing.
