Tennessee and The Next Act Campaign

This weekend I attended the NSDAR National Board of Management meeting and had a chance to visit with the Development Department about the National Society’s newest campaign to raise funds for our beautiful Constitution Hall. I’m excited to share some wonderful news with you from that meeting.  Through generous individual donations and a state contribution, the Tennessee Society has already sponsored three Constitution Hall restoration projects as part of the President General’s Next Act Campaign.  These projects include the restoration of the Tennessee Box, the Tennessee Seal, and a Passage Way.  The total contribution will equal $12,500!

AND, this is just the beginning!

Chapters are invited to join us in the Tennessee Next Act – More Than a Seat Campaign which will culminate with the presentation of a check to the President General on Opening Night of the State Conference!  If your chapter is able to sponsor a seat for $300, we encourage you to contribute.

The Brigadier General Richard Winn chapter recently contributed $300 to the TSDAR for the campaign.  When asked about the gift, Regent Vicki James stated:

“Our chapter members realized that we could play a part in the preserving of our beautiful DAR Home and were excited that we could contribute to the More Than a Seat campaign.   We are a fairly small chapter and many of our members would be unable to make a large donation individually but as a chapter we could make a difference and were thrilled to make a contribution to this project.”

With this $300 contribution, the chapter will have its name displayed on the donor wall at National. They will also receive the appropriate NSDAR CAA credit.

Chapter regents and treasurers will receive detailed information on how to participate.

Will you join me and the Brigadier General Richard Winn Chapter in contributing to this worthy cause?
