It’s that time! Time to register for TSDAR State Conference, April 23-25, 2021! Your state conference committee has been working on this event since the dust settled from the very first virtual TSDAR State Conference. This year will look different for many reasons. First this will be a hybrid state conference. While the August state conference event had hybrid elements, this April we will be testing our wings once again by providing multiple virtual sessions over the 3 day weekend to be companion pieces to our in-person events. With social distancing efforts our number of in-person seating is very limited – and slightly unorthodox as we will be implementing classroom style, individual table seating arrangements for our meals to ensure maximum spacing for attendees. Knowing that many of our daughters are not ready to travel, and that seating was limited we began to look at options for our at home daughters.
With that in mind along with in-person registration options, this year we are also offering virtual registrations. Our first virtual plan will include the conference registration fee, the Saturday morning business session, and the Sunday memorial service. The second virtual plan will include the first option plus all three Friday Workshops. Voting this year for all delegates will also be conducted virtually via Simply Voting, the same platform that NSDAR used last year for Continental Congress. Voting delegates not on site will need to choose a virtual plan option in order to participate and vote. We are hopeful with these options all of our members will be able to participate fully with business and workshops portions of state conference. For in-person registration options and hotel booking information visit here. For a virtual conference experience, registration can be found here.
For attendees in person we are working to follow Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines as much as possible. To this extent we are utilizing socially distanced seating and are asking our attendees to wear masks in public spaces, which is also a current Marriott hotel company policy for their facilities including our hotel the Franklin Cool Springs Marriott. Working to provide a safe and fun state conference hasn’t been easy but I think we have some wonderful programs in store for you. Through the next few weeks building up to the conference we will be highlighting in the blog some of the guests and speakers that we will be having join us. I would encourage you to also visit the TSDAR State Conference Website for more information on scheduling, hotel bookings and programming.
I look forward to seeing you soon – either in Franklin or via the Web!
In Service, Cecile
