2021 Fall Workshops

Congress was fantastic last week, wasn’t it? The opportunity to learn more about the work of our National Society is always so important, and I hope you took the chance to watch all the wonderful sessions that were offered. While we could not met in person in DC, the climate is different in Tennessee, and we are making plans to have in-person fall workshops this August. If you have not already made plans to be with us please visit the fall workshop landing page here for in-depth information and online registration for all locations. The registration deadline is July 23, 2021 each location.

This year our workshops will look a bit different due to Covid. As you know different parts of Tennessee have opened up along different timelines. With many of our locations usually being churches due to the size of those venues and our usual attendance numbers we were unable to use our previous West TN location or Middle TN location this year. Thankfully we have secured a new location in Middle TN at the MTSU Student Union Building that appears to be a location we can utilize for many years to come that will grow with us. Unfortunately there was not a comparable West Tennessee site available this year due to the unique nature of our workshops requirements in this reemerging pandemic world, resulting in West and Middle being combined this year on Saturday August 7, 2021. East Tennessee will remain at our previous location on Saturday August 14, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Maryville. Click here for more information on these locations and for directions.

As always we have lots of wonderful workshops planned for you this August. If you were inspired to attend NSDAR Continental Congress in June 2022 you will want to register for “Get on the the Bus, Gus” a workshop designed to get you ready for Congress 2022. Perhaps your chapter is gearing up for America 250! If so you will not want to miss our session on that committee to learn ways you can highlight your patriots. Of course we hope that new and returning chapter officers will make every effort to attend as well to receive training on their positions from our state officers. Our August workshop series will allow you to see old friends, shop til you drop and learn more about the work of our state society. As always you will not want to miss, so register today.

You can also read more about the workshops along with articles from our chapters in our most recent Tennessee Newsletter. While this newsletter will be delivered to all homes as is customary with our Spring and Summer issues to coincide with registration for our state conference and workshop series, we also publish all newsletters online for fast access. If you have missed one of the on-line editions this past year, you can check out our past issues here.

I look forward to seeing you in August!

In Service, Cecile
