Virtual Trainings to Continue – Upcoming Sessions

The pandemic brought a new way for us to interact with each other and new platforms to use to conduct trainings. I am happy to say that despite the ability to begin to meet again the TSDAR has decided to continue to utilize Zoom to conduct virtual trainings for our members. We have 2 such trainings coming up that you will want to join us for this July and August. Organized by past State Historian Linda Mines, on July 25 at 2pm Eastern we will have an opportunity to learn more about Wreaths Across America and on August 19 at 7pm Eastern we will have the opportunity to hear more about the American Heritage Topic, Celebrating Our House Beautiful 2021-2022 from the National Chair Dianna Callaway. See below for more information on our July session. In Service, Cecile

The Tennessee Society Daughters of the American Revolution invites you to a Wreaths across America Educational Session, via Zoom, at 2 pm on Sunday, July 25 conducted by Brenda Kaesler, NSDAR Vice Chair Service for Veterans – Wreaths Across America and Linda Moss Mines, Regent, Chief John Ross Chapter, NSDAR.

NSDAR has partnered with Wreaths across America to not only promote WAA’s mission to honor our fallen veterans with a wreath during the December holidays, but to also work together to Remember, Honor and Teach the values and stories of our veterans – – from the Revolutionary War through today – – through the Mobile Educational Exhibit, classroom curriculum, special events and more. Join Brenda and Linda as they share practical ideas that can be easily adapted to your chapter and help you expand your service to veterans and veterans’ families. The program is about more than just a wreath.

The Wreaths across America program aligns perfectly with the goals and objectives of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and the Tennessee Society has an opportunity to once again demonstrate our state’s commitment to the ideals that make this nation unique. NSDAR is encouraging each chapter to register as a WAA partner and the competition is on! Tennessee, the historic VOLUNTEER STATE, could be the first state to have all chapters registered; the registration process is simple.

Let’s think Christmas in July and let’s make Tennessee # 1! Linda Mines.
