Excitement is mounting as the painting commissioned for the cover of the Tennessee Patriot Book is near completion! The Tennessee Society is fortunate to have internationally acclaimed artist David Wright creating the piece.

So how did this come about? How did we convince such an accomplished artist to join us in this project? He is an artist whose works hang in private collections and museums across the country; whose life has been chronicled in newspapers and magazines from Casper, Wyoming to Palm Beach, Florida; whose expertise is used in movies such as The Last of the Mohicans, and First Invasion: The War of 1812; and whose creativity earned him a Prime-Time Emmy nomination. How could we be this fortunate?
Knowing that Mr. Wright is in high demand, he was contacted very early in the process, hoping he might take an interest in our project. He was so taken with the concept of writing about our Tennessee Patriots that he almost immediately agreed to join in our project. Joy overwhelmed this volunteer heart when he said yes!
Paragraph after paragraph could be written about this talented, Tennessee Vietnam Veteran turned renowned artist. I invite you to hear directly from David Wright via this three-minute excerpt of a Tennessee Crossroads episode which aired on NPT. Meet David Wright
With love,
