Your registration packet will contain ribbons for you to attach to your name tag. These ribbons will help you spot first time attendees (green), State Conference Committee members (pink), delegates (red) and several other groups.
Ribbons will also be provided for Sustaining Supporters, 1890 Giving Circle, Heritage Club, Founders Club, and Guardians Trust.

What to Wear
** Comfortable shoes are important!

Bring a sweater or wrap if you get cold easily. Dress in layers!

Protocol
It is customary for members to stand when the State Regent is presented and at her entrance in the procession.
Once the State Officers and other dignitaries have processed into a meeting or event, please do not use the center aisle to enter or exit. If you come in late, a Page will direct you to another aisle. If you need to leave during a meeting or event, use an aisle other than the center.
Please refrain from talking during processions or while anyone is speaking from the lectern at the front of the room.

Who are the Ladies in White?
These ladies are called Pages. They are a key part of the pageantry and success of events such as State Conference. They are dressed in white to make them easy to identify and locate.
Pages are responsible for the smooth operation of State Conference, and they will assist our members in any way possible.
Please be courteous to these ladies. They are here to help and are volunteering their time (and feet!) to support our leaders and members.

Conference Shops
Don’t forget your cash, checkbook or credit card. You will have plenty of opportunities to shop till you drop!
The Sales Room will have a variety of items for sale from DAR and external vendors. President General and State Regent products and jewelry. Our Junior Shoppe will showcase a variety of goodies including t-shirts, stationery, and accessories to support the Helen Pouch Fund. The C.A.R. will have pins, membership and project information. You will be able to purchase Insignia at the Pop-Up Shop.
Our external vendors will bring you handcrafted cards; and beautiful hats for all occasions.
Delegate Voting
The Credentials Committee is the ruling authority for voter eligibility.
Delegates will vote during our business meetings by voice, standing vote or raising a voter paddle as instructed during the Business Sessions.
Delegates will be required to show their Delegate Ribbon when they enter the business session to receive paddles. Paddles are for Delegates only, not Alternates or nonvoting Members.
Ballot voting will take place on Sunday morning prior to the Memorial Service.

Message & Ticket Board
There will be a message board set up outside of the DARling Booth in the Conference Center. You can use this to search for available event tickets being offered for sale or offer available tickets for purchase or get a message to someone. This is provided for the convenience of Members and is self-regulated. The State Conference Committee is NOT responsible for exchanges, communications, or management.

Banners
To streamline the procession and make the presentation more uniform, banner stands will be provided by the State Conference Committee. Chapters only need to bring their banner and pole. For safety purposes, banner poles must be in good condition and cannot exceed 1.5 inches in diameter and 8 feet in total height (including any securely attached finials). Visit the Banner Requirements Document for further details.
Drop-off will be Friday from 9 am to 2 pm ONLY and pickup will be immediately following the close of the Saturday Business Session.
If your chapter does not have a banner, banners can be purchased through the DAR store. Please contact Meegan Burton at DARMeegan@hotmail.com with any questions.
