Today, more than 1,000,000 members have joined in the founders\u2019 footsteps and continue to honor their determination and love of country through grassroots volunteer work. When you join the DAR, you join a network of women passionate about serving our country and preserving our heritage for future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you live in the Knoxville or the Knoxville area, and believe that one of your ancestors may have served in the American Revolutionary War, we would love for you to join the Samuel Frazier Chapter, NSDAR. We can help you navigate the process to join the DAR. Qualifying Patriots are men and women who aided the cause of American independence by providing military, patriotic, or civil service. The NSDAR has genealogists who specialize in helping prospective members research their French-Canadian, African-American, Spanish, and Native American heritage. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Who can join the DAR?<\/strong> Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
