Celebrating 42 Years of Service

 

 

       

 

 

 

  

Buffalo River Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, was organized October 18, 1967. Grace Morrow Bryan was the Organizing Regent. The organizing members were: Irene McBane Alexander, Elizabeth Harmon Crawford, Marymaud Killen Carter, Effie Elizabeth Combs, Ann K. Alexander Forsythe, Emma N. Morrow Henderson, Willodene Alexander Scott, Mary M. Morrow Mormon, Ruby Neil Morrow Ours, Marjorie Davenport Simms, Helen Farris Buckner, Sarah Brewer Cannon, Naomah Alexander Lance, Jane Parker Marks, Peggy Bridgewater Remke, Grace Morrow Bryan, and Gracie Drumwright Dowland.

 

Our annual activities include:

 

  • Celebrating Constitution Week during the week of September 17-23.

  • Participating in commemorative events such as: Veterans Day Parade, Memorial Day, and the Fourth of July.

  • Supporting the military men and women who serve the nation. We support the Nashville and Murfreesboro VA Medical Centers with monetary gifts, toiletries, and clothing.

  • Recognizing students through the DAR Good Citizens Awards as well as supporting the DAR Schools.
