Please include those ancestors on both paternal and maternal lines.
Note: If you do not have a suggested patriot name or relative in DAR, we will assist you in finding your ancestor. After we establish which lineage to follow, you will need to provide vital records for generations 1-3; i.e., long form birth certificates, death certificates if applicable, and proof of marriage. If your lineage connects in generation 2 or 3 with a family member in your line, you may not be required to furnish information for that generation or others already established.
