Rhea-Craig Chapter has supported Military War Dogs, donated telephones to hospitalized veterans, sent gift packages to deployed women and men serving abroad, made and donated lap blankets to veterans and also have contributed to the Honor Flight Network, Smokey Mountain Service Dogs.
We have participated with area chapters to provide services at Naturalization ceremonies, furnished needed toiletries and personal items to Fresh Start in Sweetwater, TN.
The Honor Flight Network is dedicated to honoring our veterans’ service. The mission of Honor Flight Network is to transport American veterans to Washington, D. C., so that they can visit the memorials. In 2015, the Honor Flight Network flew 20,886 veterans and by our efforts we hope to help increase that number in 2016. We contribute to this worthy cause and have participated in the “Welcome Home” gathering at the airport.
