THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO
THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA I
pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the
Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty
and justice for all. SALUTE TO THE TENNESSEE FLAG Three white stars on a field
of blue THE AMERICAN’S CREED I believe in the United
States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the
people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a
democracy in a Republic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a
perfect Union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of
freedom, equality, justice, and fortunes.
I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support
its Constitution; to obey its laws; to respect its flag; and to defend it
against all enemies. (William Tyler Page) PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES WE THE PEOPLE of the Unites
States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure
domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general
welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity,
do ordain and establish this Constitution for the Untied States of America. THE STAR-SPANGLED BANNER Oh! Say, can you see, by the
dawn’s early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last
Gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched Were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets’
red glare, the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that our
flag was still there. Oh! Say, does
that star-spangled banner yet wave O’er the land of the free and the home of
the brave? |
