Welcome to the Chief Piomingo Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR)! Established on December 13, 1991, our chapter has flourished from its founding sixteen members to now encompassing over 100 dedicated women. Committed to historic preservation, education, and patriotism, we proudly serve Collierville, Shelby County, Tennessee, and its neighboring communities. Our diverse membership of women brings together a wealth of knowledge and a shared passion for honoring our nation’s heritage and promoting its principles. Whether through educational initiatives, community outreach, or preservation efforts, we are united in our mission to uphold the values that define us as Americans. What is DAR?
The Daughters of the American Revolution, (DAR), is one of the most inclusive genealogical societies in the country. DAR members volunteer in their local communities, supporting historic preservation, education and patriotism.
Who Can Join DAR?
DAR members come from diverse backgrounds and have varied interests, united with a shared heritage: each has an ancestor who contributed to securing American independence. Any woman 18 or older, is eligible to join DAR if she can prove direct descent from an ancestor who played a role in achieving America’s independence.

Our Chapter History
The Chief Piomingo Chapter, NSDAR, located in Collierville, Tennessee, was established on December 13, 1991. Today, our chapter continues to thrive, bringing together over 115 members from diverse backgrounds.
Our Chapter Patriots
In memory of our ancestors who, with unfailing loyalty to the cause of American Independence,
served as a soldier, sailor, civil officer, as a recognized patriot, or rendered material aid to the cause of the American Revolutionary War.
Chapter Events and Activities
The Chief Piomingo Chapter, NSDAR, is dedicated to a wide range of activities in historic preservation, education, patriotism, and community service. Regular monthly meetings are usually held on the first Thursday of the month, September-May.

Tennessee Society Daughters of the American Revolution
The Tennessee Society Daughters of the American Revolution (TSDAR) is a nonprofit, non-political women’s service organization dedicated to preserving American History, promoting education, and fostering patriotism. With over 90 chapters and 6,000 members statewide, TSDAR honors the legacy of those who contributed to the American Revolutionary War effort.
