Join more than 190,000 women in celebrating your patriotism and honoring your heritage by becoming a member of the DAR! Membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is open to any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence between 1775 and 1783. We encourage joining through one of our local chapters, and the Tennessee Society DAR has 94 chapters across our state who welcome your interest! Our chapters are happy to assist you with the membership process and answer your questions. You can visit the Tennessee Chapters page to find a chapter near you.
DAR members are women who are passionate about preserving American history, educating students, and supporting veterans and active-duty military. The DAR accomplishes its goals with diverse committees including American Heritage, Community Classroom, Conservation, Historic Preservation, Service for Veterans, Lineage Research, and many more. Our varied areas of service will allow you to use your talents while exploring your interests. Please learn more about the opportunities in the DAR and join us as we work together to make a difference in our communities.
